Registered volunteers can sign-up to usher at any time for any show that has an open sign-up. He’ll continue to send updates and emails until the usher schedule for that show has been completed. Bob will send an email requesting ushers about a week and a half to two weeks before a show opens. Our House Manager, Bob Laurie, makes out the usher schedule for all performance. All of our active ushers are put on the usher email updates list. As a bonus, anytime there are open seats in the house, ushers are invited to watch the show for free. The Miami usher team is a diverse group of great people of all ages who love people, sports and having fun. Miami ushers balance working for Miami with other full time jobs. Ushers are devoted to delivering great customer service and treat every fan as if they are a guest in their own home. Much like athletic departments are considered the front porch of a university, Miami ushers are some of the first smiling faces you see when you attend Miami sporting events. Ushers fulfill a variety of roles on game night, such as security and bag checks, golf cart shuttle drivers, ticket taking and other customer service positions. The Miami usher team serves Miami football, hockey, men's and women's basketball and volleyball, as well as many other championships and special events. A warm and welcoming environment is what Miami ushers strive to emphasize to ensure that everyone has a great experience and leaves Miami with a lasting memory. All come to work at Miami because they have a passion for service, and most importantly a passion for Miami Athletics.
